There’s something electric about the start of Florida lobster season — sunrise dives, salty eyelashes, the quiet thrill of spotting antennae under ledges. As a diver and ocean lover, I get the rush. But with great stoke comes great responsibility.
Whether you're a seasoned bug hunter or just getting your fins wet, respect is everything — respect for the lobsters, the reefs, and the rules that protect them.
⚠️ Know the regulations before you dive. Measure your lobsters (minimum 3" carapace), fly your dive flag proudly, and stick to the daily bag limit (six per person and no, “just one extra” doesn’t fly). Never mess with traps, and always keep coral safe beneath your fins.
FWC isn’t just watching — they’re out there with you. Do it right, or don’t do it at all. That lobster tail isn’t worth a ticket, an injury, or wrecking a reef. Dive smart. Respect the ocean. And let’s keep it sustainable 🌊
